Together Empowered (Together EMPOWERED, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2011 by Dr. Olivia West. Its mission is to empower and unify women and girls of color worldwide through three core values:

• Love
• Sisterhood
• Service

The organization provides mentorship programs, culturally responsive mental health support, advocacy initiatives, and community outreach to help women and girls achieve growth, independence, and increased self-esteem.  Go HERE for learn more about us. 

Together Empowered offers three levels of mentoring.

• Little Ladies serves girls in grades 1–4, focusing on academic excellence and personal development.
• Young Ladies is for girls in grades 5–12 (ages 10–18), offering one-on-one mentoring, world travel opportunities, and exposure to successful role models.
• Sister-2-Sister connects women 18 and older with mentors who help them navigate education, career advancement, entrepreneurship, and life goals.

Together Empowered partners with Out of the Box Counseling, Coaching, & Consulting to offer quality, affordable mental health care to everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status. Services include individual, couples, child and adolescent, family, and group therapy, as well as trauma-focused therapy, medication management, psychological evaluations, and life/professional coaching.

Membership is open to motivated women who are committed to sisterhood, community, and the development of girls. Members receive exclusive benefits, including access to a network of professional women, a business directory listing, promotion of their business or events, invitations to members-only parties, retreats, and events, community service opportunities, and partner discounts. Volunteers play a vital role in helping Together Empowered fulfill its mission. As a volunteer, you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of women, girls, and your community. Note that volunteers are not members and are responsible for any admission costs at events not covered by the organization. To express your interest, go to the Contact page and include a note in the message field that you’d like to volunteer.

The Adopt-A-Family Program is an annual initiative that connects donors with families in need, particularly those experiencing poverty. Participants provide toys, clothing, shoes, and food to a sponsored family. In Georgia alone, 19% of the population lives in poverty, making this program especially impactful locally. To adopt a family, contact Together Empowered and mention your interest in the program.

Together Empowered runs an ongoing Sickle Cell Awareness Campaign to shed light on one of the least-recognized diseases in the United States. Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) causes red blood cells to become hard and C-shaped, leading to pain, restricted blood flow, infection, and stroke. Donations made through the organization’s Donate page directly support this campaign and related outreach efforts.

While the organization is rooted in the Atlanta metro area, its mission is global — it has served over 1,200 women and girls of color across the United States and internationally, including in South Africa. Membership, mentorship, and advocacy programs are available to women worldwide.

Together Empowered was founded by Dr. Olivia West, a U.S. Navy veteran, former Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputy, International Psychologist, and Human and Civil Rights Advocate. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Diversity and Human Rights and a Doctorate in International Psychology with a concentration in Trauma. Together Empowered is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, meaning donations may be tax-deductible. Donations support programs including the Little Sisters and Sister-2-Sister mentorship programs, the Sickle Cell Awareness Campaign, the Adopt-A-Family initiative, mental health services, community outreach, and personal and professional enrichment workshops.
