Together EMPOWERED provides a platform for professional women of color to unite with other like-minded successful women of color in an environment where they feel safe, comfortable, validated, and supported. Through building lifelong friendships, they can network, enrich, uplift, and support one another while also making a difference in their community.
We at Together EMPOWERED are real-life examples of Professional, Successful, and Accomplished women of color and share our success, accomplishments, knowledge, time, and skills with women and girls of color who also aspire to be Great. This is accomplished through our empowerment and unification initiatives.
Empowerment: The process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s life and claiming one’s rights.

Some of our empowerment initiatives include the following.
Adopt-A-Family Program
- In 2016, the national poverty rate was 12.7 percent.
- 40.6 million people are living in poverty in the United States.
- In Georgia, 19 percent of the state population lives in poverty.
Poverty comes in many shapes and forms and can have a lasting impact on children, families, and communities. We ask that you consider those who are less fortunate than you. Please unite with us by supplying toys, clothing, shoes, and food to a family in need through our annual Adopt-A-Family program.
Are you interested in adopting a family? Go to the “Contact” page and let us know in the “Your Message” field that you are interested in adopting a family. We will be in touch.

Sickle Cell Awareness Campaign
Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) occurs when red blood cells become hard, sticky, and C-shaped. These cells die early, leading to a constant shortage of red blood cells and restricted blood flow. It causes pain and other serious problems, such as infection, acute chest syndrome, and stroke.
Although so many individuals are affected by sickle cell disease, it is one of the least recognized diseases in the United States.
Human, Social, and Civil Rights advocacy
Together EMPOWERED continues to partner with human, social, and civil rights organizations such as Sankofa.org, the International Rescue Committee, Polaris, Amnesty International, and many more.

Social Events
Each month, Together EMPOWERED host a social event, where women can let loose, come together, network, relax, build friendships, and most of all have a great time. Some of our social events include Empowerment Brunch, wine tasting, bowling, skating, tea parties, retreats, spa days, concerts, festivals, and so much more!
Community Outreach Programs
At Together EMPOWERED, we believe that we cannot have mounds of success and accolades without sharing our gifts, talents, and experiences with our community. Partnering with community organizations and immersing ourselves within our community is an essential aspect of Together EMPOWERED that sets us apart from other membership-based organizations. We not only put our money where our mouth is, but we put our feet on the pavement and our hands to help. We are thankful for our community partnerships and proud to have served our community through the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of America, H.O.M.E., Sweet Auburn Spring Festival, Juneteenth festival, Martin Luther King Day Festival, Christmas Adopt-A-Family program, Back to School drive, and so many more.

Personal and Professional Enrichment Workshops
In every aspect of Together EMPOWERED, education plays an important role. We believe you never stop learning, and we encourage continuous personal and professional growth through learning. Together EMPOWERED hosts several personal and professional growth workshops for the community throughout the year, as well as offering monthly personal and professional development courses to our members.
